Real Ale Recipes for Food and Beer Lovers by Wadworth of Devizes, Wiltshire
Over time working with Rawlingson Lane Publicity Dean and Teresa have been compiling an image library of recipe shots for Wadworth “here, we have brought together some of the tastiest of these ale-based recipes I hope you will find lots to interest, excite and inspire you in this book from Wadworth” Scott Ferguson Catering Development Manager at Wadworth commented; http;//www.wadworth.co.uk
The shoot involved crisp clean lighting on certain images while requiring a warm friendly light on other shots in the library, a further requirement of the product shots was to include the beer product alongside the plate of food all while still retaining the sense of a pub background atmosphere or catering environment on many of the shots.
There was also the added complication of dark food ingredients including the beer products absorbing light, so technical lighting was required to enhance the products dark areas to there best, when adding the required amount of exposure to the dark areas of the shot light elements within the composition can get over exposed and this is when experienced studio lighting and creative knowledge of food photography can save the day and often the night!
